I like them when I am in the right mood...which is usually not sober.
I'm on a guitar forum. It's quite amusing how many people hate them there.
i kinda agree. why not get a real guitar and jam with some friends...?
that is quite an weak/ignorant statement itself really, you know comparing risking your life to socializing with friends
I'll play and enjoy one, but id never buy one. Not my type of game.
that is quite an weak/ignorant statement itself really, you know comparing risking your life to socializing with friends
Ok. I like playing Mario games. I am not going to go out and start jumping around. Racing games and real life racing, etc.We play games as an escape from reality, where as in many cases we could just do the real thing. But that defeats the purpose of playing the games.
I have only the one game, Guitar Hero 3, and playing it at anything higher than medium difficulty always ends up with me sitting down at the Piano. For the higher difficulties, you actually have to memorize the songs, so why not do it on a real instrument, it's not that much harder.
I don't really like them either, my friend brought over GH3 once and it was just a bunch of 'meh' to me.
agreed, Im sure there great fun, but there the same price as games which involve a lot more than pushing buttons
I hate them. Why not devote as much time to playing the real thing and having accomplished something so much better?
I have hate for these games...including ddr, and the likes...they never really appealed to me...and I doubt they ever will.
i don't like them either, they are basically ddr for your fingers, although i do admit it can be fun it is just not nearly as challenging
DDR, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii Music etc. I don't even call those things games. More like interactive music software.

I play at expert and I can beat almost all songs playing them the first time.

Ten minutes later he goes, ''Do you play real guitar?''
