From what I've gathered, these two issues have been somewhat of a thorn in the side of MS. But which of these do you think is a bigger potential danger to the 360 making money?RROD vs. Piracy
The correct answer is RROD. Next thread.RROD vs. Piracy
I would say RROD just because every new chip set they come out with to ''fix the problem'' never really does.
Its easily RRoD.Piracy on the 360 isnt anywhere near as bad as it is on the PC and those companies are still going stron.
I would say RROD just because every new chip set they come out with to ''fix the problem'' never really does.
only around 1% of 360 games are pirated. At the most, a game will be pirated 10-15 thousand times. at least 30% of PC gams are pirated. Top PC games like spore have been pirated 250k-500k times.it's a joke how big this is being blown out of proportion.
^^^ You have sources for that nonsense?
Piracy is an industry-wide issue... it just doesn't affect the 360, it affects the DS, Wii, PSP, PC and to some extent even the PS3. For MS the bigger issue *was* the hardware problems but now it seems as if even those are becoming part of history (they still happen but not with nearly as much frequency as before).

I've seen threads claiming devs left and right were jumping ship off the 360 for PS3 because they didn't want to lose money from piracy. But now, it's becoming apparent that it was probably exaggerated fanboy propaganda.

I didn't even know you could play pirated games on the 360, so yeah.
360 isn't losing anything significant due to piracy and from what i understand rrod is no more but it did cost them lots of money.
What an intelligent thread
both
What an intelligent thread
Sorry if this thread sounded a bit negative towards the 360, but I just wanted to put this ''piracy'' issue in perspective.
Not even a question. RRoD.

RROD is the only thing restraining piracy on the 360...i mean if the machine was rock solid like ps3....alot more people would be bold enough to open and flash it...
