The Shrine map is only cool because of the activated cover. Other than that, I think Gears 1 has better maps.
Gears 2 will probably eat up most of my online time. Other than R2 co-op. I love the sound design and environmental hazards. Just not sure about the acutal map designs.

NOOOOOOO!They brought back the after match narrative! No, no, no! That was one of the most annoying and odd designs of Gears. I thought it would be obvious to dispose of it for Gears 2.Other then that, I thought it looked like... Gears. It looks like what I wanted the first Gears multiplayer to be - and that's a great thing. I'm still bothered that they carry over all the narrative stuff from the single-player into the multiplayer, but oh well.

i love the idea of the dynamic battlefield and environmental hazards. should keep all the boom whores in check.gears 1 had some really standout maps but a lot of them were pretty average. gridlock, war machine, subway, canals were great. not going to judge the new gears 2 maps until i play them but i love how they eliminated the fog in the remakes and brightened them up with color.

I'm glad to see more games do it like COD4.I especially like orders given by a commander during gameplay: Resistance 2 and KZ2.

It looks pretty nice, it looks like the graphics have improved a bit, aswell as the gameplay elements.

2 probsThe narrative sounds bad..and stupid.i also dislike the sniper sound, sounds like a plasma rifle. Everything else looks great.
