RROD was designed to prevent piracy?

if you're sending your console back into ms every year to fix the rrod you'd be less eager to modify your xbox? This is just a theory.RROD was designed to prevent piracy?
noRROD was designed to prevent piracy?
Why would they destroy their system to prevent piracy?
no
then why are the newer ones have rrod issues too?

MS is stupid.

no
then why are the newer ones have rrod issues too?
its a defect caused by cheap components that ms put into the console. it has nothing to do with piracy.ms are at fault for the rrod issues. nothing else. no tinfoil hat conspiricies
Oh yeah, and AIDS was made by the government to kill black people.
no nature created it after millions of years of no one with aids 1980 it just sprouted up out of nowhere.
I really don't think Microsoft would go as far as that to prevent piracy.
no. no... what a terrible theory its false because obviosuly its not working
No.
I would think RRoD hurts them more then piracy.

that was my theory long ago
if you're sending your console back into ms every year to fix the rrod you'd be less eager to modify your xbox? This is just a theory.
Well, if that's true, it's not working. The 360 is by far the easiest console for piracy I've seen since the PSOne/Dreamcast. You don't have to open it up, or anything, and every game is available off the 'net. Luckily, I don't DL pirated games, but I have at least 6 buds that do. They are playing all kinds of games like Fallout 3 to RockBand 2, on Burned DVD's. It's so crazy and so easy. So, you may have a point, but for a pirater, they would probably buy another used 360 rather than use M$ for a warranty.
Thats a good deduction, but I don't believe thats was what was in mind.
It doesn't prevent piracy though. :?
