LBP I don't get it

I've read quite a bit about the game, I've watched videos, checked out the review here .... and I''ll be honest I really don't get it, firstly I don't understand why you would play it (like what's the point of the game ... besides having fun of course) and also why it's so appealing. . . is someone could enlighten me i'd appreciate it ..... or are most of you feeling the same way that are not involved in the Sony Hype Machine.LBP I don't get it

You don't have to get it. just understand there is more to it than what meets the eye.
If you were in the beta, you would not be questioning the sackboy. Seriously though, I found it very addictive and enjoyed making levels very much. Whether id find it more enjoyable because im artistic I dont know, but id recommend giving it a chance.

If a game looks appealing and fun to you buy it ...if it doesn't don't buy it....

[/QUOTE]That's the thing you watched videos for halo, it's not appealing but you go around killing stuff, you get what you are supposed to do, what I'm saying is I don't get LBP at all
Think of it as a side scrolling platformer/puzzle game with potential for amazing levels and unlimited free DLC, that you don't even need to download.
why would you play it???? same reason you play any other game duhhhh. its a platformer game. it has a story mode if you didnt know. whats so appealing? you can create your own levels hell create objects etc. if you have seen the videos of level creatin then you know that is a major factor for why ppl want this game. the creation is endless if you can work within the restrictions it may have.and to play other ppls levels is fun.it got a 9.5 and 9,0 score on ign and gs respectively for a reason.
simple answer: Casual gamers will enjoy the simple 2D platforming gameplay, and with the community creating new levels, new levels will constantly appear with equally simple gameplay. And they will be drawn towards the game because of the cute Sackboy.Hardcore gamers will like the customization of sackboy, and the create-a-level option to make difficult levels.i suggest is that you rent it and see if you like it
