General concensus that Far Cry 2 is goin ...

At first I wasnt hyped about this game what so ever until I sat down and watched a lot of the trailers. It was apparent from the get go that it wasnt as graphically or technologically impressive as Crysis but from a gameplay standpoint it looks to go above and beyond what Crysis offered.The whole deceiving your enemies concept seems awesome, as long as the AI is good which it seems to be a hell of a lot better than Crysis' AI. The game also seems to be a lot more open, free and sandboxy lol.Im completely stoked for this game now! General concensus that Far Cry 2 is goin ...

More weapon variety, awesome mechanics, and the sanbox appraoch seems to equate to a better experience for me.

[/QUOTE] so. they changed things for the worse. some parts were more action packed but it was so linear that a second or third playthrough didnt warrant any fun. the graphics were also downgraded quite a bit. the game wasnt as open as the original crysis
It's made by the same developer so who cares? Enjoy them both.
Amazing to me, yes.Better than Crysis (I assume going by review scores? )? I don't think so.

[/QUOTE] i expected more of the same not a change for the worse, it was too linear, too many nano suits and even thogh you weren't forced to use vehricles some levels where hugely desined around them, also it had more of the problem of the assault rifle (espscially the scar) being able to do anything and everything

It won't be half as good as Crysis.
Crysis...amazing graphics....no substance. No real substance anyway. COD4 blew away Crysis for shooter awards last year and Far cry 2 will be a better shooter too. Just not as good looking though.

I need to play Far Cry 2 first before I can say which is better.
Crysis is actually pretty old now. If far cry2 isn't better the developers should be shot (well maybe just a moderate kicking).
thats easy, not better in graphics but way more fun...have you ever played Far Cry 1? that game was awesome
