Fallout 3 obviously, Resistence 2 is AA, Fallout 3 seems to be guaranteed AAAPS360 games question, dilemma with games ...
my taste would go with Resistance 2 but if he liked oblivion go with fallout.
I'd buy Fable 2 before I bought Fallout 3 (then again, I'd buy many, many, many things before I bought Fallout 3), but I can't say anything good or bad about Resistance 2-I never played the first and I haven't been keeping up with the second.
No love for resistance....
Resistance 2, for me anyway.
Well I'm choosing fallout

Fallout 3
Resistance. It would last longer and looks more epic and fun. Fallout 3 looks fun to explore but the combat and RPG elements look weak. Can't comment on the story though but it doesn't follow the previous games, so we will have to see what besthesda comes up with in that area.

What does qft mean anyways? ive never ever looked into it :D
And i would personally go for resistance 2

I didn't like Oblivion, but a lot of people did, and those people played that game for a year.

R2, Think about it logically.

1: Resistance 2 has online/offline multiplayer, and carry's on a linear storyline. It is a followup to a decent launch FPS for the PS3, and is developed by Insomniac.

2: Fallout 3 is a game with no multiplayer whatsoever, and you will be able to pick it up next year for at least $20 cheaper than retail, and still have the same exact experience. IMO Fallout 3 is one of those games that is best played when there is nothing else to play (IE, during the summer stretch etc.)

So logically thinking, you may as well pick up R2 when it comes out, and soak up as much of the multiplayer as you can whilst it is still popular, rather than getting Fallout 3, and playing through it once or twice, and then getting R2, and finding yourself getting destroyed every which way by the people who have found glitches, or have mastered the art of which guns are best in which situations.

*shrug* Thats just my way of looking at it. But of course, you have the people here that think Resistance getting AA means R2, and R3 will both get AA as well, and they aren't good at all, mainly because they are PS3 exclusives.

But hey, what do I know, right? I've only played R1 and was in the R2 beta, so yeah...
Here, I'll make it simple. If you want to play online, then get Resistance 2, because it has online and co-op. Sure, it has a single player, but it'll be linear and shorter than what Fallout 3 offers, so it most likely won't be ripe for replayability. If you want to play a single player experience, then Fallout 3 is for you. Sure, it doesn't have the online buddy lovefests, such as co-op and multiplayer, but it offers a much longer and completely open world to explore at your leisure, so it makes up for not having the online options with an incredibly large single player.Let's just admit Fallout means more to the gaming community than Resistance.
R2, and then maybe fallout 3 for PC since its cheaper than the console version.

If you add sidequest then yes this game could be 100+ hours. But it really depends on the player fallout looks good, but judging from oblivion could get really boring really fast. Lets just say it comes down to taste. Fallout=singleplayer and resistance= all but shorter story.

I think we all know how much mileage fans got out of Oblivion, so I have no concern about how much gameplay will be packed into Fallout 3 whatsoever. It's not anything about being a ''fanboy''. It's because I think Fallout 3 will be the better game. I couldn't give a lick if Resistance 2 was an exclusive or a multiplat. To me, it's yet another alien FPS, which really does absolutely nothing for me. I've played so many over the years, and it's like deja vu.

Halo 3 was a hold my hand experience compared to resistance. Nobodys rushing through games but some people dont like 100+hour games. But you could say the same thing about fallout that you say about resistance its just another 1st person shooter with rpg elements and sidequests. Plus isnt the main enemy in fallout aliens? cuz i thought they were.
