as much as i love pokemon, i gotta give the edge to mario series, precisly due to super mario rpg:legend of the seven stars, one of my favorite games of all time easily
I think Super Mario RPG on the SNES is better than any singular Pokemon game, but the Pokemon games as a whole are better than the Mario RPGs as a whole.
Mario, because every single Mario RPG game is good, Pokemon ruby and Sapphire...werent so good

theres a reason pokemon games havent died out yet and they are consistently rpgs where as mario games change a lot. pokemon wins by far.
Paper Mario, Legend of the Seven Stars and Mario and Luigi (SS + PIT) together trump the Pokemon games. It's close though.

By the way, I don't really see how this belongs in System Wars :?
I prefer Super Mario RPG to all Pokemons combined. I find all Pokemons are too similar, and while they are addicive they're no match for Mario RPG.
